GSSG/RT

The Real Time version of GSSG provides all the features of the standard GSSG product. In addition to the scripting capabilities of the standard GSSG, the RT version adds some very powerful real time elements, providing unparalleled realism in flight simulation and integration with a wide variety of systems.

GSSG/RT provides:

• Radar data streaming in real time to almost any radar processing system
• Use of real time 3D flight simulator technology providing the capability of adding fly-by-stick simulation targets to an exercise
• Unsurpassed capabilities for mixing live and simulated data in a virtual reality exercise environment
• Capabilities for real time data generation using Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) or High Level Architecture (HLA) interfaces
• Capabilities for data generataion in real time using a wide variety of military digital data link protocols

Radar Data Generation

The GSSG environment allows for a flexible but accurate definition and representation of the target Air Defense system’s radar environment. The GSSG can therefore accurately generate target radar data for the exercise, either based on scripted or real time flights. The generated radar data is transmitted to the target system in real time providing a complete exercise radar picture to the operator.

True Flight Interface

Through use of state of the art flight simulator and virtual reality technology, the GSSG/RT product allows incorporation of flight elements into an exercise, which will provide radar target data virtually indistinguishable from that of a live aircraft.

By using commercially available flight simulator technology we are able to offer a large selection of aircraft simulators to be used with GSSG/RT. Each flight simulator is hosted on a standard Pentium PC based dedicated workstation networked with the GSSG system. Several flight simulator workstations can be supported in parallel, providing multiple real time targets.

Each flight simulator workstation uses state of the art input devices for flight control. Flight sticks, throttle controls and rudder pedals, even complete cockpit replicas with radio communcations equipment can be installed for accurate flight control and realistic controller to pilot communications.

Virtual Reality Environment

Through use of virtual reality technology, GSSG/RT is able to mix live and simulated data in the flight simulator’s world. Simulator pilots are able to see each other in the 3D virtual reality environment and live data from the Air Defense system, can even be projected and displayed in the same environment.

The environment display can be adapted to contain detailed terrain data as well as airport and aeronautical data.

Routing Information

GSSG/RT can take in data from one link and transmit applicable data out on another data link.  This provides a cost effective alternative when legacy systems need to add new link protocols.  As an example, if your system understands the DIS protocol and you need information from a R117 radar link, then GSSG/RT can connect to the radar link and forward the applicable information as DIS PDUs to your system.

Flexible Interfaces

The GSSG/RT product offers a variety of different protocol interfaces for connection to a diverse spectrum of Air Defense and radar systems. Protocols supported include:
Radar Data over TCP/IP and/or serial connection
IEEE 1278 Distributed Interactive Simulation
High Level Architecture
Additional protocols are available for Military protocols such as TADIL/A, TADIL/B, NATO Link 1 and others.

Training

The GSSG/RT product contains a complete training and tutorial package. Through multimedia technology and interactive lessons the student is led through all aspects of simulation scenario generation using the tool. GSSG contains a context sensitive help system, making help available for every screen, window field. The GSSG tutorial system is based on industry standard HTML technology, making extensions and customization for each installation and mission requirements easy. Instructor lead, classroom and lab, training classes are available for the GSSG product line.

Upgrades and Support

GSSG is developed by Kögun Air Surveillance Systems, a company involved in development and fielding of real time and control applications both in the defense and commercial sectors since 1989.

Each GSSG site installation includes a 12 month warranty period for hardware and software. Most GSSG hardware components carry a 3 year manufacturers warranty. Kögun offers a comprehensive maintenance and support plan for GSSG customers. Two basic maintenance packages are offered.

Product Upgrade Plan

The GSSG product upgrade plan includes a subscription service for all licensed product software upgrades. In addition product support is available through telephone and/or electronic mail.

Site Service Plan

The GSSG site service plan includes a comprehensive site maintenance contract for the GSSG installation, including maintenance of site specific software / requirements including target system interfaces or generators in case of changes in the target system interfaces.
