Data Link Monitor (DLM)

The Kögun Data Link Monitor (DLM) was developed to allow flexible and precise monitoring of a variety of digital data links at the application level. The DLM is compatible with essentially all digital data links and can be adapted by the user to process new or modified data link protocols.

 

• Using the DLM, it is possible to view and record multiple link instances in real time.
•  Users can pause one or more window while other windows continue to display real time data. This allows engineers to research data and, optionally, annotate it for later analysis.
• The annotation feature can, for example, be used to insert sequence numbers from test procedures.
• Data is buffered while a window is paused; the window is populated with the buffered data upon resume.
• Users can have multiple windows open each containing one or more link instances.
• Each link instance in a window can be individually filtered.
• Data can be displayed in a number of different ways, including: Interpreted (human readable), and/or HEX, BIN, OCTAL, or ASCII.
• Data can be monitored in real-time and content sensitive filters applied on-the-fly if necessary to locate specific messages.
• The DLM allows passive monitoring of multiple data links using multiple protocols in the same or different message windows.
• Multiple types of data sources can be supported such as TCP/IP transport streams, serial data, files and various custom I/O adapters.

Upgrades and Support

The Data Link Monitor (DLM) is developed by Kögun Air Surveillance Systems, a company involved in development and fielding of real time and control applications both in the defense and commercial sectors since 1989.

Each DLM site installation includes a 12 month warranty period for hardware and software. Most DLM hardware components carry a 3 year manufacturers warranty. Kögun offers a comprehensive maintenance and support plan for DLM customers. Two basic maintenance packages are offered.

Product Upgrade Plan

The DLM product upgrade plan includes a subscription service for all licensed product software upgrades. In addition product support is available through telephone and/or electronic mail.

Site Service Plan

The DLM site service plan includes a comprehensive site maintenance contract for the DLM installation, including maintenance of site specific software / requirements including target system interfaces/generators in case of changes in the target system interfaces.

Site Requirements

A DLM software only license is available for site installation where a dedicated DLM workstation can not be accommodated or for integration with other existing applications. On site support for installation, integration and testing with existing systems is available.
